General Info

About me

Nutrition is a beautiful vocation, it has allowed me to help many people who need guidance with what they should eat, this becomes even more important when a chronic disease appears and your life is at risk. From my personal experience, this evidenced with lack of information out there for patients with kidney damages and the importance of a dietary treatment. I have also learned that when you understand the "why" of things, it is easier to implement them, therefore a nutrition education as a tool for changing habits is something that excites me, because it allows the patient to have control, confidence, independence and autonomy in making decisions about their food, in a manner that will meet their goals.
I have learned that to achieve changes, we must find our inner motivation, ensuring a lasting process where there is a change in attitudes, thoughts, emotions, and finally actions, which becomes more important in chronic diseases that lasts a life time. I have trained as a professional and I continue studying. Since I work with Scientific Evidence, and science changes every day, this allows me to bring tools, while increasing the curiosity of the patient, to look for solutions and find answers and keep decreasing resistance towards new things, increasing self-confidence, because "Yes, you can!"
